About this tour

Haridwar and Rishikesh is arguably one of the most visited destinations for various purposes such as pilgrimage, yoga retreat, adventure and nature. Let us know a little more about both these places.

Haridwar, the gate way to Char Dham of Uttarakhand – is the most sacred place in the state. Often considered to be one of the seven holiest places in India, Haridwar is located at the foothills of Shivalik ranges and on the banks of River Ganga. Millions of pilgrims come here from all over the country to take a dip in the holy waters of Ganga at Har ki pauri. It is believed that once you take a dip into the waters of Ganga, you are washing your sins. Witnessing Ganga aarti on the Ganga Ghats is a ritual people follow when in Haridwar. One must experience Ganga aarti at Hariwar to experience colourful atmosphere and spirituality.

Rishikesh is one of the world renowned places for Yoga retreats. This beautiful destination in the recent decade emerged from ‘Yoga capital of the world’ to ‘Adventure capital of India’. Nestled on the foothills of Himalayas of Northern India, this vibrant city has holy River Ganga eternally flowing through the city making it a holy abode for gods, is a place for people in search of peace and tranquillity. Situated on the foothills of Shivalik ranges and on the banks of River Ganga, Rishikesh offers the best of both worlds; from spirituality to spine-tingling adventure to young India. While it is considered to be a holy pilgrimage site and spiritual site, Rishikesh is also a popular destination for White water rafting and Kayaking, hiking and trekking and other adventure activities such as Bungee jumping, rappelling and rock-climbing that is attracting tourist from all over.
